Join the Team

Jesus invites us to invest our time and talents, as an act of love, for the benefit of others both within and beyond the local church we belong to.

Whether you’re interested or have been personally invited to join the team at NewHope, this page will outline everything you need to know and do to come onboard as a team member. This process is a reflection of our commitment and obligations to the health and safety of children, vulnerable people, and our church + local communities.

STEP ONE

A conversation with a Ministry Leader to discuss your ministry availability and suitability. A Ministry Description will be provided to you for your consideration.

STEP TWO

Read and understand our 1) Safe Church Policy; and 2) Induction Manual. Other NewHope policy and procedure documents can also be found here.

STEP THREE

Read and complete the following TWO documents: 1) Code of Conduct; and 2) Screening Questionnaire (Adults // Under 18’s).

STEP FOUR

If your ministry role is deemed as child-related, you will need to provide a valid Working With Children Check (if you are 18+) and complete the Creating Safe Spaces Online Module (if you are 16+). Information and instructions are available in the Induction Manual.

STEP FIVE

Scan and send the following documents to safechurch@newhope.family or use the button below:

  1. Signed Code of Conduct

  2. Completed Screening Questionnaire

  3. Signed Ministry Description

  4. Working with Children Check (if required)

  5. Creating Safe Spaces Online Module Certificate (if required).

STEP SIX

The relevant Pastor, Staff Member or Ministry Leader will confidentially verify and process your information and discuss the outcomes and/or ministry onboarding process with you.
