The Good News
Forget for a moment what you've experienced or been told about religion and spirituality.
This is the clear and simple message we proclaim at newHope…
God created and loves the world.
Sin (Self before God) breaks our relationship with God.
God promised to restore and bless the world and its people.
Jesus is the fulfilment of that promise.
His death pays for sin + His resurrection defeats death.
We are saved by God’s grace, through faith in Jesus alone.
Jesus will come again for those who’ve put their faith in Him.
Jesus is the most important life in human history. His moral perfection, miraculous power, unprecedented teaching, personal sacrifice and most importantly His resurrection have literally changed the world… And Jesus can change your life also.
Each of us find ourselves longing and wondering our way through life. CS Lewis put it this way when he wrote, "If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world."
Friend, you were made to be a recipient of God’s grace and goodness. No person, pursuit, position, postcode or possession can satisfy the deepest longing of our souls like your Creator does.
This is how much God loves us: That despite our opposition and indifference towards God, Jesus died for us. God sent Jesus to make Himself and His love known to us, and to bridge the gap we as humanity had forged against Him and one another.
In Jesus we see and know God. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. Nobody comes to the Father (God) except through me." According to His very own words there were no alternate ways to know and experience God’s grace and goodness - only through Jesus.
So we're each left with one of three choices...
Dismiss Jesus’ life, death and resurrection, hoping that He is of no consequence to us;
Seek to discover if His life and words stack up; or
Become a follower of Jesus and begin to know and trust Him more.
Our heart as a church is to create a space for you to experience community, explore faith, and encounter Jesus.
